About the Opportunity
Lead ANSTO's Corporate Affairs Division and provide strategic counsel to the Executive Team, CEO and Board on communications, government relations, stakeholder management, reputation, community engagement, public affairs and issues management. This senior leadership role is responsible for shaping ANSTO's reputation, stakeholder relationships and public profile, while maintaining strong relationships with government, industry, research partners, regulators, international organisations, media and communities in support of ANSTO's mission and ongoing social licence to operate.
About You
We are seeking a seasoned senior corporate affairs professional, experienced in driving productive outcomes within State or Federal government environments. Experience in complex and regulated industries is a must.
Your Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute ANSTO's Corporate Affairs strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and government priorities.
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing Corporate Affairs team and promote an inclusive, safe and values driven culture.
- Provide strategic advice to the CEO, Executive Leadership Team and Board on communications, stakeholder engagement, government relations and reputational matters.
- Lead ANSTO's engagement with Ministers, government departments, agencies, parliamentary committees and key policymakers.
- Lead strategic engagement with international agencies, government bodies and research organisations and support ANSTO's participation in forums, partnerships and cooperative programs.
- Develop and oversee integrated internal and external communication strategies, ensuring consistency of messaging amongst stakeholder groups.
- Lead media engagement activities and ensure proactive and effective communication of ANSTO's achievements, priorities and responses to emerging issues.
- Lead ANSTO's community engagement strategy and outreach programs.
