About the Opportunity

The Nuclear Medicine Maintenance team is responsible for ensuring optimal performance and reliability of the Nuclear Medicine plant and systems through robust maintenance practices. Compliance with safety, regulatory, and GMP & TGA requirements is essential to ensure the safe and sustainable supply of nuclear medicine to the Australian public. The team is seeking a skilled mechanical technician to join their multidisciplinary team to maintain the nuclear medicine facility at ANSTO.

Your Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities in the ANM Mo-99 facility
  • Undertake reactive maintenance work for breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner by liaising directly with clients and collaborating within the team to investigate, identify and provide solutions for problems relevant to discipline.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and statutory requirements
  • Responsible for mechanical equipment assembly, installation, and testing
  • Support the preparation and revision of maintenance documentation to GMP standards

Skills and Experience

 

  • Trade qualification in Mechanical trade (preferred Fitter & Machining)
  • Industrial experience in maintenance of plant and equipment in Mechanical maintenance
  • Understanding of the requirements of working in a highly regulated environment is desirable.
  • Developing, completing, and reviewing maintenance documentation (e.g. work orders, records, SWMES and work instructions)
