About the Opportunity
An opportunity is available to join ANSTO's Nuclear Forensics team and contribute to the research and development of nuclear forensic analytical capabilities to support domestic and international nuclear security stakeholders.

Your Duties and Responsibilities

Scientist, Bulk Material Analysis: PD-2054 Band 5
- Assess and interpret experimental results, prepare internal or external reports or co-author and strive to first author publications in relevant international journals and give presentations at national and international fora.
- Provide technical guidance and support to technical staff within the Nuclear Forensics team with the aim of building team capabilities.
- Build collaborative relationships both internally and externally to enable effective communication around deliverables.

Senior Scientist, Bulk Material Analysis: PD-1804 Band 6
- Apply high level scientific knowledge and technical expertise to the planning, undertaking and completion of operational and capability extension projects to maintain and strengthen ANSTO’s Nuclear Forensic capability.
- Deliver on capability improvements in collaboration with national and international scientists and stakeholders in the area of nuclear security and nuclear forensic science.
- Provide expert scientific knowledge to ensure the trusted advice and specialised service provided by the Nuclear Forensic capability area meet customer requirements.
