About the Opportunity

A competitive edge over other Graduates! Are you completing a degree in Science and would like to gain valuable hands-on practical experience in your field?

 

Start your career in nuclear science and technology. The ANSTO Year in Industry Internship Program is for penultimate year students. The one-year program, scheduled to commence February 2025, provides industry-based learning for students to apply theory and skills to the workplace and use this experience to enhance the value of their remaining study. As these opportunities are full time, paid placements, students are required to defer their study for the year.

About You

Be industry-ready! As an ANSTO Nuclear Science and Technology intern, you will have the opportunity to work with world-class, specialised scientific equipment. You will be involved in either laboratory management or chemical and nuclear analysis using instrumentation. The program is tangible first-hand experience in industry and your introduction to a career in nuclear science and technology, at the home of Australia’s most significant landmark and national infrastructure organisation.

 

Preference will be given to penultimate - year students studying:

  • Chemistry
  • Chemistry with a keen interest in laboratory management and compliance
  • Earth or environmental science
  • Physics
